North London Hospice Small Logo A Wild in Art event brought to you by North London Hospice

‘Park Life’ has been temporarily replaced by ‘Nocturnals’ while it undergoes repair. ‘Nocturnals’ has been painted by Amanda Quellin

Michelle is a wildlife and rock artist from London. She chooses to incorporate wildlife, nature and conservation into her work and tries to promote the importance of nature and biodiversity in our everyday lives, as well as worldwide. Park Life depicts the array of wildlife that can be found in London parks and green spaces. Michelle wanted to highlight the rich biodiversity of these habitats and their importance to our everyday lives. The front of the sculpture portrays daytime in the park, with various flora and fauna that would typically be flitting and scurrying around these important urban environments. However, the back shows the nightlife – perhaps with less well known species that go unobserved by people.

A lasting legacy

Did you know that at the end of the trail all of the large owl sculptures are auctioned to raise money for North London Hospice? The smaller owls – our owlets – are returned to their forever homes with their school or community group.
