Milly is an emerging visual artist with a significant background in combined arts/community projects, as a creative learning facilitator. She grew up in North London and continues to work and live here. She is pleased to contribute to a meaningful artistic project in the area she knows and loves – as a local resident and local artist. Milly’s owl is in her bold, colourful, graphic style – using organic shapes and patterns. The purposeful randomness in the composition allows the observer and audience to be drawn in to exploring the sculpture – and perhaps more sensory learners are tempted to trace their fingers over the different shapes and patterns scattered across the surface.
A lasting legacy
Did you know that at the end of the trail all of the large owl sculptures are auctioned to raise money for North London Hospice? The smaller owls – our owlets – are returned to their forever homes with their school or community group.
